The Executive Chairman of Odukpani Local Government Hon. (Mrs.) Justina Edem has been decorated as an Ambassador of clean Nigeria. The Clean Nigeria is an initiative of the Cross River State Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency.
The event began with a sensitisation at Calabar by the Commissioner of Water Resources Hon. Goddy Etta, the event had in attendance Chairmen from Local Government Council’s in Cross River State.
The sensitisation focused on effective ways of hand washing, proper use of close defecation, interactive session with members of the public.
Declaring the event open, the State Deputy Governor Prof Ivara Esu thanked the RUWATSSA, the Commissioner of Water Resources Hon Goddy Etta, the Chairmen, for taking such a project to the public urging all the Chairmen to replicate same at their various Local Government.
For her dedication towards sanitation and water hygiene, Mrs. Justina Edem was decorated as an Ambassador of “The Clean Nigeria”.
The Deputy Governor who was pleased with her achievements, urged her to remain steadfast and focused in maintaining sanitation and governance in her Local Government.
The Capacity, dynamic, pragmatic chairman of Council Hon. Mrs. Justina Edem reiterate her continuous support to the monthly sanitation she had initiated right from her inception into office. She said that the decoration is a call to greater service and dedicated it to the good people and supporters of Odukpani Local Government Council.
